The Act on Temporary Employment
The detailed regulation of temporary employment is established by the Act on Employing Temporary Employees. The Act specifies, among other things:
- The circumstances under which companies may make use of temporary employment.
- The parties’ basic rights and duties.
- Conditions when engaging temporary employees is prohibited (e.g. to perform particularly dangerous work).
- Type of agreements and permitted employment period for temporary workers (a maximum of 12 months within a consecutive 36-month period per user employer).
Issues related to Occupational Health and Safety are also governed by Article 102 of the Act on the National Labour Inspectorate of 13 April 2007.
